Visited Sanrio Puroland (サンリオピューロランド). Sanrio Puroland is an indoor theme park of Sanrio characters including Hello Kitty, located in Tama Center (多摩センター) that attracts over 1.5 million visitors per year. It is not large as Disneyland, but if you are fan of Hello Kitty and other Sanrio characters, you can maybe enjoy the park.

Sanrio Puroland has opened since 1990. It is run by the Sanrio company, and hosts various musicals, restaurants, attractions, gift shops, and theme rides using popular characters. The theme park lost money during its first three years, owing to operational foul-ups and a temporary lull in Hello Kitty’s popularity.

Sanrio Puroland has four floors, and the main attraction spaces are the first and second floor. These spaces are designed in the image of fairy tales.

Sanrio characters’ entertainment shows are held several times per day.
