Yanaka (谷中), one of the nostalgic places in Tokyo is north of Ueno Park (上野公園). The damages in Great Kantō earthquake and World War II were relatively minor, so ancient landscape of Tokyo still exists. Also Yanaka is known as “temple and shrine town.”
